On a DualBrew variant with a separate hot-water function, successful hot water does not prove the coffee route is ready. Check the mode selector, grounds lid or pod-adapter seating, and the drip-stop state before assuming the pump has failed.
Which observation matches?
Choose the closest observation. The complete decision list remains below.
Hot-water mode works; no coffee sizes appear
Verify the dial is fully in the coffee position and the correct grounds or pod setup is recognized.
Grounds mode works; pod mode does not
Focus on the compatible pod adapter and its normal locked position, not a global water-supply diagnosis.
Pod mode works; grounds mode does not
Check grounds-basket and sliding-lid setup. Do not force or bypass the lid sensor.
Coffee mode is selected but flow is absent or abnormal
Record the message and stop repeated attempts. Use the model's supported troubleshooting or contact Ninja.
Safe checks, in order
- With the brewer cool, identify the full CFP code and confirm that your model actually has independent hot-water controls.
- Choose one coffee mode. Use the exact basket/lid or adapter arrangement prescribed for that mode.
- Check the mode indication and drip-stop state before an ordinary attended brew. A water-droplet mode is not the same as a coffee mode.
- If the setup is correct but the coffee route fails, tell support which other mode works and which message appears. Do not keep alternating modes to force a response.

The important inference
The manufacturer describes a separate hot-water line on equipped models. Therefore, hot-water success is useful but limited evidence: it shows the machine can perform that function, not that the coffee route is unobstructed. Keep that distinction when deciding what to inspect.
Avoid unnecessary parts orders
A half-selected dial, incompletely recognized adapter and an internal fault are different possibilities. The visible mode indication is a free observation you can make before ordering anything. A video should include the selected mode and display, not just the empty cup.

Stop for a recurring error number, no flow with unusual noise, hot leakage or a control that cannot be set normally. Never hold a sensor closed with a tool.
Questions this diagnosis does not skip
Does hot water prove the pump is good?
It proves that function worked during that observation, not that every route or component is healthy.
Can I run a clean cycle to make coffee mode appear?
Correct mode selection and assembly first. A chemical cycle is not a substitute for recognizing the chosen mode.
